VIDEO LINK = https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ps1dRJChCI8  Entomologist Dr Viktor Fursov tells you a short lecture about beneficial parasitic wasps (Hymenoptera) - entomophagous hymenopteran insects which larvae are developing inside the host's body (entoparasitoids), on the host's body (ectoparasitoids), inside host's egg (egg-parasitoids), inside host's larva (larval parasitoids) or inside host's pupa (pupal parasitoids) or even inside host's imago (adult's parasitoids). Some hymenopterans are also phytophagous (developing on plants).

Many hosts of hymenopterans are pests of agricultural crops, forestry and ornamental plants. So far, beneficial parasitic wasps (Hymenoptera) play a vital role in biological control of many pests' populations.

Some details are given about the family Trichogrammatidae (Hymenoptera, chalcidoidea) - egg-parasitoids of different groups of insects, mainly Lepidoptera and Coleoptera.
