Firebugs Cossacks

And what about the bugs? This is a story about bug-soldiers, or bugs "kozachkah", or bug-moskalikah (according to the iological and linguistic Ukrainian-Russian Dictionaries).

Red firebug - Pyrrhocoris apterus (Hemiptera, Perrhycoridae) - a phytophagous bug of the RED color, eating seeds of lime, maple, acacia, and also small dead insects, and cannibalism is also common for this species.

Firebugs Pyrrhocoris apterus often forms clusters - in spring? summer and autumn on the bark of a linden trees and some other trees. During the breeding season in summer, male and female bugs are walking around, often in tandem with two individuals, or actively running along the asphalt, along the walls and bark of trees.

Bug Pyrrhocoris apterus is harmless to humans.

It has 1 generation per year, winter larvae and adults.

It has 5 larval stages.

Firebug Pyrrhocoris apterus is distributed from the Atlantic, in Europe, Ukraine, Russia, to northwestern China, and also occurs in the USA, Central America and India.



Other types of firebugs, slightly similar in color and appearance to a bug-soldier, but well distinguishable - Scantius aegypticus, Tropidothorax leucopterus, Spilostethus pandurus.

А что же про клопов?? Это - про -клопов-солдатиков, или клопа-казачка, или клопов-москаликов (согласно Словарям)

или красноклопа - Pyrrhocoris apterus (Hemiptera, Perrhycoridae) - клопа-фитофага КРАСНОГО ЦВЕТА, питающегося семенами липы, клена, акации, а также мелкими насекомыми, обычен также каннибализм.

Клопы Pyrrhocoris apterus часто образует скопления -  весной и осенью на коре липы и некоторых других деревьев. В период размножения летом  самцы и самки клопов, часто в тандеме по две особи, -  активно бегают по асфальту, по стенам и коре деревьев.

Клоп Pyrrhocoris apterus - безвреден для человека.

Имеет 1 генерацию в году, зимуют личинки и имаго.

Имеет 5 личиночных стадий.

Клоп Pyrrhocoris apterus распространен от Атлантики, в странах Европы, Украине, России, до сев-западного Китая, а также встречается в США, Центральной Америке и Индии.



Червоноклоп червоний, Козачки, Клоп-Москаль, Москалик (лат. Pyrrhocoris apterus, рос. Клоп-Солдатик, на английском Firebug, на француском Jandarme) — комаха родини Червоноклопів (лат. Pyrrhocoridae).
